are a few of the many emails we have received.
The entire band has been quite touched by
the response, and are proud that NOVACOSM
could positively affect other’s lives.
Please continue to write, we love to hear
from you!
I saw George Burdi on VH1 and I'm so happy
he's changed his ways. I am a Puerto Rican
female(of African,Anglo & Indian blood)
who was raised by a East Indian step father.
We grew up in the "south" around
people who hated us...who jumped my father..who
shot at my father..And to see George and
hear him say how he's sees people in a different
way meant so much. I still live in the south
and I never go outside..I can never live
free because the people here don't see Me
as an American..they just see me as a foreigner.
I do hope more will one day change and stop
being so hateful to people.
I just wanted to
say, that I use to make the same mistakes
as you and others have done. I realized
that hate is nothing like opening up your
heart and letting everybody inside.
Eyes shining bright,
with unspilt tears...
thinking about all those wasted years.
I wasted my 6 years
in a neo nazi movement.
No more.
Great disc! Thanks. The band has a really
unique sound, especially with Burdi's vocals.
I think that you should go in the direction
of Black Easter or one of the other darker
tracks, but the whole thing is good.
I know in my heart
that no one can touch the heart of a "real
man" except a higher power, some way,
some how, this majestic force can bring
forth miracles, and other wonderous things
that can not be explained. I use to dislike
certain people with a passion, but the more
I started to come into contct with many
who were not like me (I now live in the
burbs) I began to change my "tunnel
vision" viewpoint. I know the change
was guided by a higher power, so don't get
me wrong, I really am only a vessel in which
the change took place, so in conclusion
Mr. Burdi your story is the Creators gift
to mankind to stop wasteing time, and energy,
on negativity. I wish you well young man,
and may others who are channeling there
energies towards hatred step back an realize
how short life is, and begin to spend their
precious time doing more positive things
like you have begun to do. Stay Safe, and
Stay Strong,
I just wanted to congratulate George Burdi
on his trasformation from a White supremisist
to an anti-racist person. I just got through
watching VH1's documentary on the aforesaid
subject matter, and let me tell you it outrages
me. Being a musician myself, I feel that
it is necessary to speak out against such
hate and promote positive notions. I've
always had a deep resentment of people who
in my book are so ignorant as to hate someone
because of their skin color, and when people
like George can wake up and smell the coffee,
it's one step forward. So again, congratulations
to you George and to the rest of the band-
good luck with your music.
First of all I would
like to say thank you for being yourself.
It takes a strong man to be yourself without
worrying about your past. I was never a
racist, but I always enjoyed reading your
insight. I think , no offence, you wasted
your intelligence with resistance. I actually
subscribed to resistance just to read you
articles. I'm a huge fan of Nietzsche, and
I thought you discussed his thoughts well.
Unfortunately, I can actually say that your
talk about racism actually swayed me. It
was such a relief when I found out that
you didn't actually believe that way. I
know I'm not the only one who feels this
way.
I WAS IN THE MOVEMENT FOR CLSOE TO 10
YEARS FROM THE TIME I WAS 13 UNTILL I WAS
21 I WAS A HARD-CORE SKINHEAD SEEING YOU
ON VH-1 AND HEARING YOUR WORDS INSPIRED
ME TO LEAVE BEHIND THE HATE I JUST WANT
TO THANK YOU
I saw the special
on VH1 about this band, and I just want
to say that I love what you stand for. As
an Asian-American, I have been insulted
from my race. The fact that the lead singer
has made this amazing transition is just
beautiful. I wish good luck and prosperity
to your band.
Keep up the good work! And please keep
putting out great and inspirational music!
You are the most unique band, and you were
put together by God for a special purpose!
Hi George, I read
about you leaving the movement and changing
your views on racism. I had bought Resistance
since the very first issue from a distributor
in Hollywood, Ca. I was never a skinhead
until 1996 though when I bought my first
Skrewdriver CD. I had been into hardcore
punk for years[im almost 34 now] so I got
into it at a later date than most others.
I just wanted to say right on for leaving
the scene because I got out of it a couple
years ago myself. I wish you good luck with
your band and hope a major label would give
you a chance not because I like the music
industry or anything[ha] but simply I think
you getting your message out to kids would
make a big difference in a lot of them.
I have to confess I still like your "Declaration
of War" album for the music and not
the lyrics. I hope all goes well for you.
My name is Traci. I am 19 years old and
live in Chicago, IL. I seen the special
on VH1 about you guys and I just wanted
to say that I am very happy to hear that
George turned his life around. After seeing
that special I felt very angry toward people
who hate different people just because of
there skin color. I am a white female myself
and I believe it gives good white people
like myself a bad name. I just wanted to
write you to say that and hopefully you
can turn other people away from that kind
of stuff. God Bless
After viewing your
website I now have renewed hope in mankind.
If George can have such a drastic change
for the better, why can't other people?
Greetings from Germany...
I recieved the Novacosm-CD a few days
ago (thanks for the inredible quick reply
to my order) and have to admit that it really
is an astonishing piece of musical art that
I have been listening regularly since then...
Anyway, I wish you all the best for your
future.
Hi, Guys!
Just got the new
CD! It's amazing! You keep producing music
like this and nothing can stop you. Really
